Therapy — or psychotherapy — is provided by a state-licensed clinician with advanced graduate training, supervised clinical hours, and rigorous ethics and licensing exams. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I'm qualified to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health concerns using evidence-based approaches. Our work may explore how past experiences are shaping your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while also building practical tools to support real, lasting change.

Coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented. Rather than diagnosing or treating mental health conditions, coaching helps you get clear on what you want, identify what's in the way, and take meaningful steps forward. It's less about unpacking the past and more about building momentum toward what's next. One important distinction: unlike therapy, the coaching industry is not regulated, and credentials can vary widely. When considering any coach, it's worth looking into their background, training, and areas of focus. My coaching work is grounded in my clinical training and lived experience, so you're getting both.

Great question — and one worth asking. Therapy tends to be a better fit if you're dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns that are significantly affecting your daily life. Coaching is often a better fit if you're feeling stuck, facing a major decision, or navigating a life transition and want structured support and accountability to move forward.Honestly? Many women benefit from both, and I'm one of the few providers who can offer either, or a blend of both, depending on what you need. If you're not sure where to start, a free consultation is the easiest way to figure it out together.
